Delivery Instructions & Time Frames

At Fortra Australia, we aim to make every delivery smooth, reliable, and on schedule. Below you’ll find important information about how we deliver, what to expect, and how to help us get your order to you safely and efficiently.


Delivery Time Frames

Delivery time frames vary depending on product type, order size, and your location.

Standard Delivery

  • Metro areas: 1–3 business days

  • Regional areas: 3–7 business days

  • Remote locations: 7–14 business days

Large or Specialised Items

Products such as bulk materials, timber packs, cement, aggregates, and oversized items may require additional time for scheduling.

We will contact you if your delivery requires special handling or an extended lead time.

Custom or Special Orders

Made-to-order, custom-cut, or supplier-ordered products have unique lead times.

These will be provided during checkout or by your sales representative.


Delivery Instructions

To ensure a safe and efficient delivery, please review the following guidelines.

Access Requirements

  • The delivery address must have safe, clear access for trucks or forklifts.

  • Please notify us of narrow driveways, low trees, weight limits, steep slopes, or any other access restrictions.

  • Drivers have the final say on what is considered safe to access.

Drop-Off Points

  • Orders may be placed kerbside, in a driveway, or at another safe area nominated by you.

  • If you are not home, please provide clear instructions at checkout (e.g. “Leave materials to the left of the carport”).

  • We cannot be held responsible for items left unattended once delivered.

On-Site Safety

  • Worksites must be free from hazards.

  • Children, pets, and pedestrians must be kept clear during unloading.

  • Heavy items may require mechanical assistance on site—please notify us in advance if this is required.


Delivery Confirmation

You may receive one or more of the following:

  • A dispatch notification

  • An ETA update

  • A call or text from our driver on approach (when available)


Failed Delivery Attempts

A delivery may be unsuccessful if:

  • The site is unsafe or inaccessible

  • No suitable drop-off point is available

  • Incorrect or incomplete address details were provided

If this occurs, a redelivery fee may apply.


Urgent or Same-Day Deliveries

We understand that construction schedules can change quickly.

  • Same-day or next-day deliveries may be available for selected products and locations.

  • Please contact our team to check availability.


Click & Collect (if applicable)

  • Orders may be collected from our warehouse or partner locations.

  • You will be notified when your order is ready for collection.

  • Please bring your order confirmation and valid ID.
